Eldin Hasa is a neuroscientist, human behaviour expert and transformation coach with more than 30 years of experience.
“It is important to note that the early signs of burnout can vary from person to person and the brain’s response to burnout can be influenced by various factors including genetics, environment, and individual resilience,” he explains. “Recognising and addressing these signs early on can be crucial in preventing further progression and promoting mental and physical wellbeing.”
Hasa outlines the hidden signs you are suffering from burnout based on changes in brain activity.
Article in Yahoo Life yahoo.com by Eldin Hasa on What are the health benefits of silent walking?
We already know the potential plus points of walking on our health, both physical and mental, but silent walking provides a whole host of other potential benefits for the mind, including enhancing our cognitive function.
"Silent walking allows for a unique combination of physical activity and mental concentration," explains neuroscientist and human behaviour coach and expert Eldin Hasa.
Research suggests that this practice activates the hippocampus, a brain region crucial for memory and learning.
"As you walk in silence, your mind is free from distractions, fostering a state of deep concentration that stimulates neural pathways associated with focus and attention," Hassa continues.
"This heightened cognitive function can contribute to improved problem-solving skills, creativity, and mental clarity."
Article in VICE Magazine - Men, Why Are You Lying About Your Height? We asked a neuroscientist Eldin Hasa what drives guys – including US presidential candidate Ron DeSantis (allegedly) – to give themselves a leg up.
Whatever the case may be, we wanted to find out what might be driving this kind of behaviour. So we spoke to neuroscientist Eldin Hasa to find out more.
Eldin: From the neuroscientist’s perspective, there are several reasons. Obviously, you've got your combination of biological factors, physiological, socio-cultural factors. According to evolutionary psychology, men are worried and preoccupied about their height due to an inherent desire to appear dominant and attractive to potential partners. So it's kind of like an animal instinct deeply ingrained in their ancestral DNA. First, to appear more attractive to their potential partners, but then also, like an alpha male, to ward off any potential suitors that she might have. So, over time, the preference for taller mates, in a sexual sense – and this is all unconscious, by the way – may have evolved as a result of evolutionary pressures.
